The Jerk
Your Front Knee Lands Ahead of Your Foot
The fault
The front knee travels past the front foot on the catch.
Why it happens
A knee out past the foot cannot absorb the load, so the lifter has to recover from the catch instead of standing out of it. It also puts the front leg somewhere it cannot push from.
The fix
Jerk from the split position. The back foot stays planted and the front foot drives forward each rep, which trains the knee to arrive over the foot rather than past it.
