Your Weight Gets to Your Toes Too Early

The fault

Shifting onto the front of the foot well before the finish.

Why it happens

Early weight shift is a balance error that shows up as a bar path error. You feel it at the catch, but it happened at the knee.

The fix

A simple progression of pull to waist, then high pull, then full lift. Each step rehearses staying over the foot before adding the part that usually breaks.
