You Miss Front Squats From the Midline, Not the Legs

The fault

Being a chest dropper out of the bottom of a front squat or clean.

Why it happens

Most missed squats and cleans are not a leg strength problem. The legs are usually fine. The midline gives, the chest drops and the bar rolls forward off the shoulders.

The fix

A drill aimed specifically at midline strength in the front rack. Fix the thing that is actually failing and heavier lifts follow.
